Ministry of Health Timor-Leste
The Ministry of Health in Timor-Leste is the government body responsible for overseeing and implementing healthcare policies and programs in the country. Its primary objective is to ensure the provision of quality healthcare services to the population and promote public health.
Inline with TileSW implementation, the SAMES, I.P, whose one of its responsibility is management and clearance of Medicines and Medical Equipment its done through TileSW. The Licensing Cabinet is another directorate under MoH whose primary responsibility is to license operational and professional health activities; these activities are integrated and conducted through TileSW.
Registration and Import Authorization of medicines falls under the National Directorate of Pharmacy and Medicine (DNFM); these processes are integrated and conducted through TileSW.
Protocol
Technical Cooperation between the SAMES, I.P & Customs Authority signed on 27 November, 2021 while the protocol of cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Health to regulate the licensing activities, medicine registration, and import authorization of medicines and medical equipment to be conducted through TileSW was signed on 15th May 2023.

Since the Go-Live on 12th January 2022 up to 30th June 2023, there are 286 Customs Declaration that have been registered and cleared by SAMES.
