Page Agency The National Directorate of Quarantine and Biosecurity (NDQB) through (CD-QA)) is a department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries with a regulatory responsibility to help control the import and export for Plants and Plant products, Animal feed, Animal products and Animal commodity, Biological materials and Vet products as well as Live animals. The department is responsible for safeguarding the health pf nation’s agricultural resources and plays a critical role in protecting the country’s agriculture and the environment from invasive plants and animal pets and diseases. It also seeks to prevent harmful human and animal food stuff from entering the supply chain. 

 Protocol

Electronic Single Window system automated different permits and licenses issued by National Directorate of Quarantine and Biosecurity (NDQB) to regulate import and export of both plants and animals as well as their products.

Control of import and export of such a product is done at Customs Declaration. The new module will cater for the application of Import/export permit for animal and animal products, plants and plants products with the aim of fulfilling the requirements of application process for the animal and animal products, plants and plants products certification process. The module ensures more integrated and streamlined management of application documents, processing, and archiving.

The development of this module comprises of three main actions

a) Application of import/export permit

b) Inspection and treatment 

c) Customs Clearance
